Our On Japan Team is excited to offer the position of Technical Representative.
In this role, you will be required to visit our B2B partners in a timely manner and build strong, lasting relationships with store staff, consumers, and local communities.
While this position will be based in Tokyo, you will be primarily responsible for managing and elevating our presence across our premium B2B partners, including major sneaker chains and high-end select shops nationwide.

Your mission
– Drive Brand Growth & Sales Performance: Partner closely with major sneaker chains and premium select shops to maximize retail business performance and elevate the brand experience on the frontlines of sales.
– Build Strategic Relationships: Visit key B2B partners regularly to establish deep, trusted connections with store staff, managers, and buyers to unlock the full commercial value of our products.
– Deliver Impactful Training & Storytelling: Design and execute high-energy product trainings, empowering retail staff to become true On brand advocates.
– Engage Authentically with Consumers: Step onto the sales floor during peak times or events to showcase premium, authentic consumer engagement as a true representative of the brand.
– Elevate In-Store Brand Experience: Continuously evaluate and optimize visual merchandising (VMD) and all in-store consumer touchpoints, ensuring they consistently reflect On’s premium standards at the highest level.
– Synthesize Field Intelligence: Gather real-time, on-the-ground insights—including competitor market trends, direct product feedback, and the authentic voices of runners and consumers.
– Bridge Field Insights with Strategy: Present and deliver actionable feedback from the field back to internal stakeholders to contribute to smarter data-driven decision-making and sharper cross-functional business strategies.
– Operate with Agility and Speed: Take proactive, autonomous action to identify new market opportunities and move fast, breaking beyond the boundaries of a traditional team structure.
Your story
– Retail & Account Experience: 3+ years of experience in store rounds, wholesale sales activities, or premium retail management targeting major sneaker chains, high-end select shops, or lifestyle stores.
– Passion for the Culture: An active lifestyle with a deep interest and genuine passion for sports, contemporary fashion, and sneaker culture.
– Natural Relationship Builder: A strong desire and proven ability to build authentic, lasting relationships not only with retail partners but also with consumers and local communities.
– Confident Communication Builder: Confident public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to lead engaging product trainings, host events, and drive community activations.
– Agility & Mobility: High flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic field-based work style that involves regular travel and mobility.
– Language Proficiency: Fluent in Japanese, Comfortable working in a global environment with the ability to communicate smoothly and effectively in English for daily business will be an added value.
– Digital Literacy: Solid foundational PC skills, including everyday proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) or Microsoft Office.
