In short
As a Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the right products go to the right channels within the China digital landscape, with the best timing and price. You will build the footwear, apparel & accessory assortment by developing and implementing our global brand strategy, regional product strategy and gaining customer insights from working closely with our China Digital team. You will lead the seasonal buying, forecasting and utilize new tools for data analysis and turn your findings into short term actions and long-term merchandising strategies.
The Lead – Digital Merchandise Planning, China will report to Senior Lead, Digital Merchandise Planning, APAC, as part of the APAC Regional Merchandising team, supporting our ambitious digital growth in China.
Your mission
– This role will cover all categories across footwear, apparel and accessories for all genders. This requires a holistic way of building H2T assortments.
– Assortment planning & forecasting will be required, with the consideration of different Ecom business models and formats in the China digital landscape.
– Land regional merchandising strategy on China digital landscape through seasonal buys and product forecasts, leveraging insights from historical data, consumer targets, fashion and performance competencies and that of our competitors.
– Monitor sell-through performance to uncover risks and opportunities in our product assortment, and provide insights as well as guidance on product focus to Digital Channel Leads
– Partner with China Digital team as well as China Marketing team, feeding in recommendations to influence the product presentation onsite and in advertising channels.
Your story
– You have 5-10 years’ work experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a merchandising or merchandise planning role.
– You have a strong track record of business results from your previous roles preferably within Merchandising, Digital Buying, Product Management, with experience in Sportswear, Fashion and/or Luxury industry preferred.
– You are experienced in converting merch strategy into seasonal buys and actionable tasks, whilst keeping consumers front of mind. Analytical and data driven mindset with a clear focus on results.
– You are a strong communicator and presenter in front of diverse internal and external audiences.
– You have full business proficiency in Chinese & English.
