Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, international environment? Amer Sports Global Business Services is seeking a Record to Report Senior Accounting Specialist to deliver high-quality accounting services for our global brands.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting period-end closing activities, managing fixed assets and lease accounting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements while working with some of the world’s leading sports and outdoor brands.

What you will be doing:

Fixed assets & lease accounting

  • Managing end-to-end fixed asset processes, including asset creation, assets under construction, depreciation, and related activities.
  • Performing lease accounting activities in line with IFRS 16 (or ASC 842), including creating new lease contracts and processing contract modifications.
  • Reviewing and reconciling fixed assets and lease balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy at period-end.

Period-end closing & reporting

  • Independently processing daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc RTR tasks in line with team assignments.
  • Performing month-end and period-end closing activities according to group timelines.
  • Supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.

Controls, audits & compliance

  • Ensuring adherence to internal control procedures and SOX requirements.
  • Supporting interim and year-end audits, including preparation of documentation and audit support.
  • Maintaining and updating process documentation (process maps, DTPs).

Collaboration & improvement

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities within RTR responsibilities.
  • Supporting the Team Lead and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Participating in additional accounting tasks and projects as needed.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a similar role
  • Proven expertise in fixed assets and lease accounting under IFRS 16 or ASC 842
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and MS Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Experience with lease accounting tools (e.g., Nakisa, CoStar, Tango); Blackline is a plus
  • Solid understanding of RTR processes and accounting principles
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Proactive, self-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
