Your role:
We’re in business to save our home planet. The Platform Operations Engineer maintains and supports secure infrastructure operations on the shared platforms used by the EMEA region, operating under the guidance of Global Platform Engineering, Network Engineering, and Cyber Security teams’ policies, procedures, and standards.
This role configures, monitors, and maintains platform and infrastructure systems that support business continuity and cross-functional operations in multiple countries in the EMEA region. The position supports enterprise-grade platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Palo Alto, and Cisco, while following global technology standards.
Main tasks:
• Maintain and Support EMEA Platform Operations: Configure, monitor, and maintain platform and infrastructure systems across EMEA regional offices and stores per established policies, ensuring secure and redundant operations. Execute system-level tasks in alignment with global team standards, such as network maintenance, server updates, and backup operations, following approved change management procedures. Troubleshoot Tier 2/3 issues and escalate as appropriate to minimize downtime and user disruption, collaborating with the US-based global team on maintaining standards and compliance frameworks.
• Execute Global Technical Requirements Within Region: Execute tasks such as patching, storage provisioning, and backup scheduling following established priorities and procedures. Implement global architecture standards and toolsets as directed, identifying and reporting technical gaps to leadership for resolution.
• Coordinate with Vendors and Global Technology Teams: Coordinate with EMEA third-party platform and infrastructure service providers as directed, supporting hardware procurement, software delivery, and field support activities. Collaborate with global technology counterparts to implement tools and support system rollouts, such as cloud identity federation or endpoint protection solutions.
• Support Technology Process Automation and Efficiency: Develop and execute scripts and workflows that automate repetitive administrative tasks (e.g., backup verifications, user provisioning) per approved standards, improving system efficiency and reducing manual errors. Follow and document regional IT support procedures, supporting the consistency and scalability of internal operations. Work with the global team to support follow-the-sun operations on mission-critical platforms and infrastructure.
• Support EMEA Business Functions: Support platform and infrastructure-related requests from internal departments (Finance, Customer Experience, Retail, etc.) as directed. Execute technical solutions that support operational goals across the region, following global standards to ensure repeatable and scalable global support.
What we’re looking for:
• An inclusive mindset
• Advanced understanding of Azure and core infrastructure services with at least 3 years of working experience with Azure, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and networking to maintain secure, stable, and compliant regional platform operations across EMEA.
• Full expertise in automation scripting, knowledge of PowerShell or Python to automate routine system tasks and monitoring, increasing operational efficiency and reducing manual error.
• Good understanding of security and IAM frameworks, experience in implementing patching, endpoint protection, and identity protocols to ensure systems meet global cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with EMEA vendors and US-based platform engineering teams to deliver infrastructure rollouts, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment with global standards.
• Advanced analytical and troubleshooting capability, structured problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose Tier 2/3 issues, identify root causes, and drive preventative improvements that reinforce system reliability.
• A love of the outdoors
• An interest in saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work
