Patagonia is an outdoor apparel company founded in 1973. At a time when all life on earth is under threat of extinction, we aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imagination—to influence changes needed to protect our planet. A registered B Corporation and founding member of 1% for the Planet, Patagonia is recognised internationally for its commitment to product quality and environmental activism, contributing over $145 million in grants and in-kind donations to thousands of grassroots environmental groups around the world.

Your role:

We’re in business to save our home planet. This role serves as a community and culture catalyst. It ensures our employees are not only informed about company strategy, priorities, and updates, but are also actively engaged around what we do and what we care about in sports, product, environmental activism, people, and justice and belonging, creating connections through stories and experiences between what’s happening day to day in our responsible business and our broader purpose to save our home planet.

This role owns the EMEA internal communication and engagement agenda and plays a leading role in shaping how our culture, priorities, and changes are experienced by employees across the region.

Main tasks:

Internal communication agenda & channels: develop and own the EMEA internal communications roadmap and multi-channel approach (town halls, newsletters, lunch talks, intranet etc.) in line with global Internal Communications direction. Set priorities, sequencing, and cadence for internal communications across EMEA, with clear decision-making authority on what, when, and how we communicate. Own and evolve internal communication channels, optimizing frequency and format to foster connection, dialogue, and clarity for employees across all functions and locations in EMEA.

Content, narrative & messaging: in partnership with the EMEA Leadership Team, EMEA functional teams, and global Internal Comms, curate and shape a clear, cohesive EMEA narrative around strategic priorities, annual goals, business and impact updates, product, sport communities, environmental activism, our people, and justice and belonging. Ensure consistent, human, and accessible messaging that helps employees understand how their work connects to company goals and impact and simplifies complexity rather than adding to it. Actively apply a justice and belonging lens to messaging, tone of voice, and storytelling.

Leadership communication & advisory: partner closely with the General Manager, ELT, and global Internal Comms teams to craft internal messaging, talking points, presentations, FAQs, and narratives for key business, organizational, and cultural moments. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them communicate with empathy, clarity, and credibility—especially in moments of change or uncertainty.

Culture activation, engagement & storytelling: develop and own the EMEA internal engagement roadmap. Design and deliver immersive experiences, events, and storytelling moments that bring our culture, values, product, sports, environmental activism, and justice and belonging commitments to life. Create meaningful opportunities for two-way dialogue, listening, and feedback about internal comms and engagement, and ensure insights are reflected back

Change & transformation communication: partner with the ELT, People, Culture + Justice team, and global Internal Comms to lead strategic approach to communication for major initiatives, transformations, and organizational change. Go beyond message delivery to support how change is experienced—building trust, reducing uncertainty, and helping employees and leaders make sense of what’s changing and why.

Team leadership: Lead, coach, and develop one direct report through clear goal setting, feedback, and ongoing coaching. Create focus and clarity, balancing strategic work with thoughtful execution.
