Whether you’re looking to jump start your career or gain first hands-on experience in a new field, an internship at On offers you a unique growth experience, the chance to make an impact from day 1 and contribute to On’s growth journey. We are looking for fresh ideas, curious minds and passionate individuals ready to make a difference. Our internships generally last 6 months and you will be fully embedded in a team.

– Start date: September 1st
– Duration: 6 months
– Prerequisite: Interest in area relevant to the internship, passion for On, right to work in EU / Switzerland
– Note: This is a paid internship

Your mission

– Own and develop a clearly defined research or benchmarking project within performance footwear design
– Investigate athlete needs, trends, materials, or technologies and translate findings into clear insights
– Create visual and written outputs such as sketches, boards, digital presentations to communicate your work.
– Support the team by testing ideas through simple design explorations or prototypes
– Document your process and share progress with the design team regularly
– Present your final project and key learnings to the team at the end of the internship

– Curiosity and a strong desire to learn about footwear design and performance innovation
– A growth mindset and openness to feedback and iteration
– Interest in sport, movement, materials, or product design
– Ability to think visually (Ai, sketches, 3D) and communicate ideas simply.
– Motivation to take ownership of a project and explore new ways of working.
– An open, positive, and collaborative personality that enjoys working with others & contributing to a team environment.

Meet the team

We design performance running shoes that make running more comfortable and efficient, using Swiss engineering and design expertise. We use athlete insights, biomechanics, and new technologies to create new footwear, taking ideas from concept through to production. By working closely with sport science, materials, and modern design tools, we aim to shape the future of performance footwear.
