Overview of Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager EMEA, this role leads media relations, PR management, and brand communications, while building a strong ecosystem of media and digital partners to amplify BOA’s presence across Sports industries. Through close collaboration with the Marketing, Product, PPID (Partner Product and Innovation Departemen t) and Commercial teams in both Europe and the HQ in Denver, you will help identify and leverage product and performance innovation stories from the BOA world and bring these to our key constituants (Industry Experts, Brand Partners, Retailers and Consumers) through carefully selected media channels and partnerships.

 

 

Core Responsibilities

PR & Media Strategy Lead regional PR and media plans aligned with global strategy to support launches, partners, and brand storytelling.
Media Relations Build strong media networks across EMEA and secure consistent, high‑quality editorial coverage.
Agency Management Manage PR/media agencies with clear KPIs and ensure effective, high‑performing partnerships.
Brand Communications Ensure consistent brand messaging and approve partner communications while maintaining core communication frameworks.
Digital M edia & Partnerships Collaborate with Digital teams to drive integrated media initiatives and develop key platform partnerships.
Campaign Amplification Amplify regional campaigns through strong storytelling and coordinated PR/media activation.
Content & Storytelling Create concise, impactful PR content tailored to audiences and channels to strengthen brand positioning.
Reporting & Insights Track PR/media performance and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
 

Required Qualifications

Active interest/participation in a number of sports within BOA’s core product focus (Trailrunning, Mountaineering, Tennis and Snowsports…)
A genuine curiosity to understand BOA’s technical products, applications and benefits
Bachelor’s degree in PR, Journalism, Communication or Marketing
5+ years experience work ing in PR / Communications linked to the sports industry
Fluency in German and English; a third European language would be highly appriciated
Experience managing and executing projects across multiple European countries
Competence in media segmentation, planning & buying
Excellent copy-writing skills and a sharp eye for overall creative execution
A highly organised, flexible and hands-on approach
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse constituants
An open personality, comfortable with interacting and presenting to different audiences
Occasional flexibility for evening / weekend work to attend trade shows and events

For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out the minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement, which is from 2362.- EUR gross per month. However, our attractive salary packages are based on current market salaries and are therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary, depending on your experience and skills.
