Amer Sports - Business Data Analyst (m/f/d) - Kraków

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our Finance Data & Analytics area and play a key role at the intersection of business, data engineering, and reporting.

In this position, you will work closely with Finance stakeholders and Data Engineers to translate business needs into scalable, high‑quality analytics solutions. Your work will directly support decision‑making, performance management, and the ongoing transformation of our analytics landscape.

What you will be doing:

• Gather, challenge, and refine business requirements with Finance and GBS stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear data, KPI, and reporting logic
• Act as a bridge between business users, Data Engineers, and the analytics team
• Co‑design data models in collaboration with Data Engineers
• Validate analytical outputs and ensure alignment with business expectations
• Support stakeholders in interpreting data and turning insights into actions
• Drive adoption of data‑driven solutions across Finance
• Support prioritization and structuring of incoming analytics requests
• Ensure consistency and standardization across reports and analytical solutions

Projects you may work on

• Reporting landscape transformation and optimization
• Data model design and development
• Migration to a modern data platform (e.g. Azure / Databricks)
• Development of new Power BI reports and analytical solutions
• Standardization and simplification initiatives across Finance analytics

What you need to succeed:

• 3–6 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or a similar role
• Strong business understanding combined with solid analytical skills
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • SQL (must‑have)
  • Power BI (must‑have)
  • Data modeling and understanding of databases
• Experience working with SAP data is an advantage
• Ability to structure ambiguous requirements and translate them into clear analytical solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Independent, proactive, and solution‑oriented way of working
• Fluent English (working language)

Nice to have:

• Certifications in Power BI, SQL, Data Analytics, Lean or Agile
• Interest or experience in advanced analytics, forecasting, or data platform transformation
