Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As Senior Manager, Retail & Trade Marketing – EMEA, you will lead a team focused on Retail Brand Experience, and Trade Marketing. You will be responsible for the development of marketing tactics with a focus on instore, digital and community activations, to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences for our guests. You will oversee the implementation of the global GTM strategy across retail and wholesale distribution channels in EMEA.

 

Meet Your Future Team:

You are the leader of the Retail & Trade Marketing Teams responsible for developing and implementing Retail Marketing activations for Arc’teryx Brand Stores and Factory Outlets, and Trade Marketing plans for our Wholesale partners in EMEA. Your team focuses on instore and digital marketing activations and community engagement, while working closely with the regional Retail Design, Visual Merchandising, Community, Brand Communications, Sports Marketing, Wholesale, Brand Store Teams and Regional Managers, as well as with global teams such as Retail Marketing and Community Teams at HQ, Vancouver, Canada.

If you were the Senior Manager, Retail & Trade Marketing – EMEA, now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading and providing guidance to the Retail & Trade Marketing Team to achieve their set objectives in alignment with the EMEA brand marketing and regional strategy
  • Developing integrated marketing launch plans for EMEA New Store Openings (NSO), including paid and organic comms and community experiences, in partnership with EMEA Brand Comms and Community teams
  • Liaising with Global Retail Marketing and regional Store Develepment teams, Visual Merchandising teams, to develop Brand Stores design, guest journey, and in-store brand experiences for EMEA NSOs and upgrades to existing Brand Stores
  • Delivering EMEA NSOs launches reports with a focus on incremental learnings
  • Leading Mountain Town Strategy for EMEA, liaising with cross-functional EMEA Marketing functions to develop integrated marketing strategy including Retail, Wholesale, Brand Comms, Community Experiences, Athletes/Guides/Partners
  • Leading development of Trade Marketing plans to Arc’teryx selected Wholesale partners to foster sell-through in alignment with EMEA regional commercial and marketing strategies
  • Supporting the brand’s DTC market readiness efforts with trade marketing initiatives in relevant key epicenters
  • Overseeing Visual Merchandising at wholesale partners to foster conversion rate / sell-through
  • Overseeing Retail Brand Marketing executions at Brand Stores and Wholesale partners to foster consumer engagement and instore traffic
  • Overseeing Retail & Trade Marketing team in their key marketing initiatives reporting efforts to make data-driven decisions
  • Owning and managing assigned Retail Marketing and Trade Marketing Budgets

Are you our next Senior Manager, Retail & Trade Marketing – EMEA?

  • You have 7+ years progressive marketing experience, operating in a leadership role for 2 years, preferably in the outdoor industry and/or at a lifestyle brand
  • You have 3+ years’ experience operating as a people manager
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or a related field
  • You are confident in developing coherent strategies and trade marketing plans and implementing brand assets and campaigns at wholesale and retail level, and in analyzing and reporting their performance
  • You have a strong direct-to-consumer marketing knowledge and a deep understanding of the consumer journey, to drive sell-through and customer satisfaction
  • You have strong project management and budget management skills
  • You have excellent planning and organizational skills with solid ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with tight deadlines and drive desired results in a fast paced, dynamic environment           
  • You have experience in leading, motivating and managing a team
  • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
  • You have exceptional presentation and written communication skills in English, and you are proficient in another European language (German is a plus)
  • You have a strong attention to detail and creative sensibility
  • You are a strong communicator who can work with cross functional teams from other channels of the business
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
