As a Product Stewardship Senior Analyst you’ll sit at the crossroads of creativity, science, safety, and innovation, ensuring that every VF product is not only beautiful and functional but also responsibly made and rigorously compliant.
Your mission: guide our brands toward materials and designs that are safer, smarter, and ready for a future where transparency and accountability matter more than ever.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Transform material and product test data into clear, confident approvals that guide our brands across all regions and ensure every product meets our high standards.
- Partner with designers, developers, and material experts to anticipate and eliminate safety risks long before production capturing the “why” behind every recommendation and decision.
- Shape the evolution of VF’s global product safety ecosystem, contributing to key frameworks such as the Product Safety Manual and the Restricted Substances List.
- Collaborate with the chemical technical team behind Chem‑IQ, helping to keep the program sharp, current, and aligned with emerging science and regulations.
- Support customers and retail partners by managing product safety, labeling, and compliance inquiries with accuracy, clarity, and a customer‑first approach.
- Ensure transparent, timely communication with internal teams, regulators, and external partners to protect VF’s product integrity, regulatory compliance, and brand trust.
- Equip cross‑functional teams with the tools and training they need to uphold safety and compliance throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Validate product and material claims to ensure every message we share is bold, honest, and evidence‑based — partnering closely with marketing and legal.
- Design and maintain a reporting rhythm that transforms KPIs into stories and stories into strategic insights that drive better decision‑making.
Skills for Success
- A relevant master’s degree and 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in product safety, compliance, chemistry, or a related technical field.
- A genuine curiosity about how products come to life and an instinct for making them safer, smarter, and more responsible.
- A problem‑solver’s mindset: creative, analytical, and energized by complexity rather than discouraged by it.
- Clear, confident communication skills that help both technical and non‑technical teams stay aligned, informed, and moving forward.
- A self‑directed, organized working style proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating fast‑moving, cross‑functional environments.
- Experience in apparel and/or footwear product safety and testing.
- Familiarity with global compliance frameworks or evolving regulatory landscapes.
- A solid understanding of supply chain processes and the impact they have on product integrity.
