Amer Sports Global Business Services is looking for an experienced Risk and Control Senior Specialist to strengthen our risk management and internal control environment across GBS and Finance.
In this role, you will partner closely with GBS process teams, Group Finance, and Internal Audit to support the design, documentation, and effectiveness of the internal control framework. You will play a key role in SOX compliance, financial reconciliations, and control assurance, contributing to a strong, compliant, and efficient control environment aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
What you will be doing:
Risk & internal control
- Partnering with GBS process teams, Group Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure SOX controls are well designed, clearly documented, and consistently executed.
- Supporting the ongoing effectiveness of the internal control framework across GBS and Finance operations.
- Performing regular assessments of control performance, identifying control gaps, deficiencies, and risk exposures.
SOX & audit readiness
- Supporting SOX readiness activities, including walkthroughs with process owners and audit preparation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for Internal and External Auditors, as well as Corporate SOX stakeholders.
- Preparing audit documentation, evidence, and responses to audit inquiries during internal and external audits.
Reconciliations & process improvement
- Supporting strategic improvements to account reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and control effectiveness.
- Working with reconciliation tools such as BlackLine to enhance quality, standardization, and efficiency.
- Contributing to cross-functional initiatives focused on control optimization, automation, and risk mitigation.
Collaboration & advisory
- Working closely with Finance and GBS leadership to promote a strong risk and control mindset.
- Supporting remediation planning and implementation for identified control issues.
- Sharing best practices and providing guidance on internal control and compliance topics.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, SOX compliance, or audit, preferably in a GBS, shared services, or global environment.
- Strong understanding of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks, with hands-on experience supporting SOX programs.
- Experience with financial reconciliations and tools such as BlackLine.
- Working knowledge of SAP and its role in financial reporting and control design.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
- Very good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and attention to detail.
