Amer Sports - Purchase to Pay Team Leader - Kraków

Amer Sports Global Business Services is looking for an experienced Purchase to Pay Team Leader to lead a PtP team providing services for the North America market.
This role combines people leadership with strong process ownership, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of Accounts Payable services while driving continuous improvement and global standardization across PtP operations.

Due to close cooperation with North American stakeholders, the position offers flexibility in working hours, with approximately 1–2 days per week worked in a later shift (e.g. 12:00–20:00 or 14:00–22:00) to ensure effective time overlap.

What you will be doing:

Team leadership & performance

• Leading, motivating, and developing a PtP team supporting the North America region.
• Managing team workload, capacity planning, and task allocation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to team members (Junior Accountants and Accountants).
• Identifying development and mentoring needs within the team and supporting skill growth.
• Translating objectives into clear targets and adapting plans to changing priorities.

Process ownership & operations

• Overseeing end-to-end PtP invoice processing and related accounting activities.
• Ensuring PtP operations are delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with quality and compliance standards.
• Supporting team members and providing backup when needed.
• Escalating unresolved issues and driving them to final resolution.

Continuous improvement & reporting

• Partnering with the Continuous Improvement (CI) team to identify automation and optimization opportunities.
• Defining, monitoring, and analyzing KPIs, understanding their impact on process performance.
• Contributing to global PtP process standardization initiatives.
• Preparing ad-hoc reports, analyses, and management reporting.

Stakeholder & audit support

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Acting as a key point of contact for issue resolution and service delivery.
• Supporting interim and year-end audits, including preparation of documentation and explanations.
• Ensuring up-to-date process documentation (Process Maps, DTPs, Amerpedia).

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with strong exposure to Accounts Payable / PtP.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in team leadership or people coordination.
• Solid understanding of PtP end-to-end processes and accounting principles.
• Experience working in a GBS / shared services or international environment is an advantage.
• Very good command of English (spoken and written).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Finance modules, Ariba experience is a plus.
• Strong planning, organization, delegation, and workload management skills.
• CI mindset with the ability to identify and drive process improvements.
• Analytical approach, attention to detail, and ability to work under time pressure.
