Amer Sports Global Business Services is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer – Digital Workplace (m/f/d) to ensure reliable, secure, and consistent end‑user and collaboration platform operations for employees globally.
In this role, you will provide L2/L3 operational support across endpoints, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, device lifecycle, compliance, patching, and remote support processes. You will play a key role in delivering a consistent Digital Workplace experience across all regions while supporting global standards, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will be doing:
RUN – Digital Workplace Operations
- Deliver global Microsoft 365 operations, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Intune‑related issues.
- Operate and support endpoint environments, covering compliance, patching, software packaging, imaging, operating system lifecycle, and baseline configurations.
- Support collaboration and productivity platforms, including Teams, SharePoint, conferencing solutions, and basic Power Platform operational tasks.
- Execute device lifecycle operations, including onboarding, offboarding, decommissioning, and policy updates.
- Maintain and improve Digital Workplace runbooks, baseline images, and knowledge articles.
- Contribute to endpoint and collaboration security operations, including Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, and endpoint hardening.
- Perform structured follow‑the‑sun handovers to ensure continuity of global operations.
ENABLE – Platform Integration & Tooling
- Align closely with Endpoint Solutions teams on global templates, operating system governance, and compliance policies.
- Collaborate with Collaboration Platforms teams on Microsoft 365 governance, roadmaps, and adoption support.
- Apply and operate automation tools, including Autopilot, Intune automation, scripting, and packaging automation.
- Contribute improvements to ServiceNow workflows and the Digital Workplace service catalogue.
GOVERN – Standards & Process Enforcement
- Apply global Digital Workplace and Endpoint governance rules, including supported operating system versions, policies, and patching standards.
- Enforce Microsoft 365 and collaboration platform governance, covering lifecycle management, security, and configuration consistency.
- Ensure adherence to ITSM processes, including incident, change, problem, and knowledge management.
Cross‑Team Collaboration & Projects
- Work closely with Field Services and Support teams to resolve onsite and escalated issues.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security teams on endpoint hardening, vulnerability remediation, and threat response.
- Support global initiatives and projects, such as hardware refreshes, virtual desktop improvements, collaboration upgrades, and Digital Workplace rollouts.
- Contribute operational insights and feedback to improve platform stability, user experience, and service quality.
What you need to succeed:
Education & Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Digital Workplace, endpoint operations, or IT infrastructure support roles.
- Experience working in global or follow‑the‑sun operational environments is highly valued.
Technical Expertise
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, and endpoint compliance and lifecycle management.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills (required); experience with automation is a plus.
- Good understanding of collaboration ecosystems and workflows, including Teams Rooms, video conferencing, and SharePoint governance.
- Understanding of operating system governance, endpoint security, and baseline management.
- Familiarity with device patching strategies, compliance reporting, and remote support tools.
