Amer Sports - Endpoint Solutions Architect - Anywhere

Amer Sports Global Business Services is seeking an experienced Endpoint Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of our global endpoint ecosystem. In this role, you will define and govern the architecture for endpoint devices across the organization, ensuring secure, standardized, and automated management of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

You will play a key role in shaping the Digital Workplace platform, enabling scalable and secure endpoint services that support employee productivity worldwide. The role focuses on driving global standardization, strengthening security and compliance, and improving the device lifecycle through automation, self-service capabilities, and modern endpoint management technologies.

What you will be doing:

Endpoint & Virtual Workplace Architecture

• Define and maintain the global endpoint and virtual workplace architecture, covering device management platforms, operating systems, virtual desktop infrastructure, and endpoint security.
• Design standardized solutions for endpoint provisioning, configuration, software packaging and deployment, patching, and full device lifecycle management.
• Define and maintain endpoint and VDI standards, golden configurations, hardening baselines, and architectural documentation (HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, templates).
• Ensure endpoint solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with global Digital Workplace strategy.

Automation & Lifecycle Management

• Drive automation and zero‑touch provisioning for endpoint and VDI onboarding, configuration drift control, upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning.
• Increase self‑service capabilities for end users while maintaining security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Design lifecycle processes covering join, upgrade, replace, and retire scenarios at global scale.

Endpoint Security & Compliance

• Define and maintain endpoint security baselines, including encryption, compliance policies, conditional access readiness, and endpoint detection and response requirements.
• Ensure endpoint solutions comply with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Align endpoint architecture with identity, networking, and security standards across the enterprise.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives related to endpoint security and configuration.

Patch & Application Lifecycle Governance

• Establish and govern the patch and update management strategy for operating systems and third‑party applications, including rings/waves, testing, reporting, and exception handling.
• Govern application lifecycle management for end‑user computing, including packaging standards, deployment methods, application catalogs, and retirement processes.
• Ensure consistent, automated, and reliable software distribution across endpoint platforms.

Architectural Governance & Collaboration

• Provide architectural guidance and technical governance for endpoint, VDI, patching, and software distribution solutions.
• Review solution designs and changes to ensure adherence to global standards and architectural principles.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, Identity, Networking, and Digital Workplace teams.
• Support major global endpoint initiatives and rollouts, ensuring measurable improvements to user experience and service quality.

What you need to succeed:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in endpoint management, digital workplace, or endpoint architecture roles within enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and governing global endpoint and virtual workplace architectures.
• Experience working in large, distributed, or global organizations.

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or Tanium.
• Deep understanding of Windows and macOS endpoint environments, as well as mobile device management for iOS and Android.
• Experience with virtual desktop technologies and secure remote access solutions.
• Solid experience with software packaging and application lifecycle management at scale, including deployment automation and self‑service enablement.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint patch and update management strategies for operating systems and third‑party applications.
• Experience implementing endpoint security controls, including device hardening, encryption, compliance policies, and integration with identity platforms.
• Strong understanding of automation approaches for endpoint provisioning and lifecycle management.

Languages & Certifications

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Certifications are beneficial but not mandatory, including:
  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
