At Amer Sports, our Global Business Services (GBS) organization plays a critical role in enabling strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and scalable operations across the Group. We are looking for an experienced Director, GBS Record to Report (RTR) Tower Lead to lead the end‑to‑end RTR agenda globally.

In this role, you will have overall accountability for the Record to Report process, ensuring accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and financial integrity across Amer Sports entities in scope. As a senior finance leader, you will partner closely with Group Finance, Business Controllers, Tax, Treasury, IT, and Audit, strengthening governance, driving standardization, and leading finance transformation initiatives across regions and business units.

What you will be doing:

  • Own and govern the end‑to‑end Record to Report (RTR) process, including general ledger, period‑end close, reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and financial reporting
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high‑quality financial statements and management reports in line with accounting standards and group policies
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of RTR processes across regions and legal entities
  • Define, monitor, and steer financial, operational, and control KPIs, ensuring corrective and preventive actions where needed
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives, including SOX control enhancement, process optimization, automation, digitalization, and close acceleration
  • Oversee balance sheet quality, accounting judgments, and period‑end close governance
  • Act as the primary RTR contact for internal and external audits, including statutory, SOX, and internal audits
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and filing requirements across jurisdictions
  • Provide strategic leadership to global RTR teams, shaping governance, operating standards, and continuous improvement culture
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a multi‑level organization

What you need to succeed:

  • 15+ years of overall experience in Finance, including 10+ years within Record to Report (RTR)
  • 5–7 years of senior leadership experience (Senior Manager / Director) in large, global Finance or GBS environments
  • Expert‑level knowledge of RTR processes, financial reporting, and accounting standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP)
  • Strong expertise in internal controls, SOX compliance, audit management, and financial risk governance
  • Experience working in global, multi‑entity, and multi‑stakeholder environments, preferably within a GBS operating model
  • Proven ability to lead transformation, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change without direct authority
  • Strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professional judgment and integrity
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, showing respect and understanding of different cultural perspectives.
