Are you passionate about corporate communications and ready to kickstart your career in a global environment? We’re looking for a Communications Trainee to join our Group Communications team in Helsinki, Finland. The role is ideal for a near-graduation student or recent graduate. This is a 6-month fixed-term position, starting as soon as possible.

You’ll contribute to helping Amer Sports earn trust and recognition globally, while also supporting engaging employee communications internally, and the strengthening of our group brand and employer brand. Our team, located in Helsinki, New York, and Shanghai, is a strategic partner to our stakeholders, driving engagement and transformation and building and protecting Amer Sports’ reputation.

In this role, you will:

  • Ideate, create, and publish engaging content for Amer Sports’ owned communication channels, in collaboration with our brands and Group functions.
  • Do simple photo and video editing, as well as graphic design.
  • Support group brand and employer brand management, and create and update related materials and assets.
  • Contribute to the community management of our social media channels, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Create and coordinate our all-employee newsletter.
  • Contribute to measuring and monitoring the impact of our work.
  • Other communications, coordination, and project management tasks as needed and agreed.

In addition, responsibilities can be tailored according to your own areas of interest.

What you need to succeed:

  • Ongoing studies (near graduation) or a completed degree in communications or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Strong motivation to pursue a career in corporate communications.
  • Some prior work experience in corporate communications (e.g., through summer jobs or internships).
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills.
  • A good eye for visual details.
  • Good digital skills and a willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills. Finnish is not required.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach – a can-do attitude, courage to ask questions, and motivation to learn, grow, and continuously develop your skills.
  • You approach challenges with curiosity, pragmatism, and a focus on meaningful impact.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindset, with the ability to thrive in an international and fast-paced environment.

What we consider a plus

  • Basic photo editing and graphic design skills (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) and video creation and editing experience (e.g., Storykit, CapCut, or other tools).
  • Familiarity with website and intranet content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, WordPress).
  • Familiarity with AI tools for ideation, productivity, and content creation
