Café du Cycliste was founded in 2009 in a traditional café nestled in the hills above the Côte d’Azur.

Specializing in high-end, performance cycling apparel, the brand is experiencing international growth. They are committed to having a positive social and environmental impact while fostering an inclusive work environment.

Café du Cycliste currently operates through three main channels:

– A flagship e-commerce site serving global markets (Europe, USA, UK, Asia)

– Five owned retail stores in : Nice, Paris, Munich, Palma de Mallorca and Bédoin Mont Ventoux,

– Over 70 retail partners worldwide

Missions

To support its expansion, Café du Cycliste is looking for a global marketing leader who can drive profitable growth across both digital and non-digital channels while protecting and elevating our premium brand identity. This strategic and hands-on role is suitable for either an experienced, very hands-on CMO or a high-potential “soon-to-be CMO” (Growth Marketing Lead / Head of Performance with strong brand sensitivity). You will work closely with the product, tech, e-commerce, and retail teams.

1. Define and Execute Global Growth Strategy

– Own global marketing performance (MER, growth, efficiency).

– Balance brand building with performance marketing to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

– Collaborate with Finance on budgets, forecasting, and KPIs.

2. Drive Acquisition & Retention (Hands-on)

– Personally oversee and execute digital acquisition: Meta (IG/FB), Google (Search / Shopping / PMAX), and YouTube.

– Lead CRM, retention, and lifecycle marketing (Klaviyo mindset).

– Ensure strong alignment between paid media, e-commerce conversion, and CRM.

3. Brand Narrative & Omnichannel Consistency

– Live the brand narrative and storytelling, ensuring consistency across campaigns, e-commerce, CRM, and retail.

– Evaluate the performance of brand campaigns, events, partnerships, and offline initiatives.

4. Leadership & Team Building

– Build and lead a high-performing marketing team.

– Operate as a “player-coach”: capable of defining the vision while executing technically when needed.

Expected profile.

Profile

👉 5–8+ years of experience in D2C, ideally within Premium, Cycling, Outdoor, or Fashion industries.

👉 Proven experience in international scaling.

👉 Essential technical mastery of paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads): you must be able to launch and optimize your own campaigns.

👉 Strong performance and data culture (focus on MER rather than just last-click ROAS).

👉 Aesthetic sensibility: understanding that storytelling and brand-safe growth matter as much as performance metrics.
