As the Whoelsale Account Manager, PRO in Europe, you play a key role in driving Arc’teryx brand awareness and sales growth through the development and management of high-value business opportunities for Arc’teryx with brand-aligned partners in the professional market. This role focuses on fostering enduring relationships with wholesale accounts to drive long term mutual growth.
 
You are proactive and entrepreneurial, possessing a profound understanding of both our products and the professional sector. You possess the vision and skills to build long-standing and scalable partnerships and strategies with our wholesale partners by leveraging our sales tools, utilizing the commercial ecosystem, and developing relationships & mutual trust with our partners. You deeply understand the mission and values of our partners and with that knowledge you seek to create opportunities for brand collaboration and community.
 
This role is based in Europe and candidates must be eligible to work in the EU or UK. Ideally, the position will be in proximity to one of our Epicentres—Munich, Paris, or London—but we are open to considering remote or hybrid arrangements within Europe.

The PRO team is a highly versatile sales and service team within the Commercial Department at Arc’teryx. This team reflects our brand intention through authentic relationships with professional end-users and wholesale organizations who share our values. We provide purpose-built solutions for professional end users and strategic partners who rely on our products to perform their craft at the highest level. We highly value teamwork, collaboration and supporting one another to deliver exceptional outcomes. Arc’teryx PRO is a global business based out of Vancouver, Canada. In this role you will be part of the European team.

If you were the Wholesale Account Manager, PRO now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Being the main point of contact and relationship owner for PRO wholesale accounts in Europe, gaining a deep understanding of the accounts business needs by identifying opportunities to grow their business with Arc’teryx, pinpointing our core end users within the market, and building a strong and supportive community presence around their brand
  • Developing and executing the 1/3/5-year strategy and sales plans for key and high potential accounts, to be developed in alignment with the Arc’teryx PRO Long Term Sales Plan. These plans include marketing initiatives at the account level, community engagement efforts, identifying sales growth through data-driven strategies, increasing long term forecasting accuracy, and highlighting investment strategies
  • Coaching principals, owners, buyers, and key people through quarterly business reviews, in-season, pre-season, clearance, and new product opportunities, by building deep relationships and using quantifiable data metrics
  • Providing regular market-level insights into the current and future financial performance of your designated territory for wholesale partners to the Arc’teryx PRO, and supporting the communication to cross-functional support teams
  • Contributing to the evolution of Arc’teryx’s brand presence with professionals in Europe through our PRO wholesale partners
  • Sharing partner feedback with relevant stakeholders as well as identifying pro market trends and opportunities to influence the long-term product line plan
  • Travelling to tradeshows, conferences, account visits, and events as directed by the  Commercial Manager, PRO – EMEA  to support the team, as needed

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Creating business cases for strategic initiatives in PRO based on your thorough understanding of our business and the market
  • Developing best practices for Arc’teryx PRO’s business model to support key and high potential accounts globally i.e. pre-line forecast, long-term business planning
  • Developing, planning and pitching partner marketing opportunities with internal stakeholders, as well as Arc’teryx PRO owned events in the EU

Are you our next Wholesale Account Manager, PRO?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience, and 5+ years of solution-based sales or account management experience in a related field
  • You have experience in the Outdoor or Defense Industry, or a Military or Law Enforcement background, and/or expertise in ERP/CRM (e.g. SAP / Salesforce) systems. Strong candidates with either background will excel
  • Be able and confident representing our business with different levels of leadership
  • You possess a demonstrated history of success in managing key and high-potential accounts, preferably in a role where you need to switch between day-to-day tasks and strategic thinking
  • You have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to connect, build community, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • You are willing and able to undertake travel obligations comprising up to 20% of their designated work hours as necessitated by job demands
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and written. French would be an asset
  • You are curious, flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
