Kahtoola is a family-owned outdoor equipment design and manufacturing company with a history of product innovation and excellence, specializing in the winter footwear traction and four-season gaiter categories. The Tibetan word “kahtoola” means “directly,” and our gear takes you directly where you need to go. In addition to making great gear, we support the preservation of indigenous mountain cultures and environmental stewardship via our own Kahtoola for the People program and through participation in local, national, and international initiatives.

We are well-positioned for growth and expansion in the European market. We are the market leader in North America for winter stretch-on footwear traction systems with our MICROspikes, NANOspikes, and EXOspikes. Our ultra-tough and ultra-light gaiters offer a unique feature set and are designed specifically for running and trekking.
