Amer Sports - Process Owner Lease Accounting - Kraków

We’re looking for a seasoned lease specialist to own our accounting processes and act as the functional process owner within Global Business Services (GBS). You’ll shape standards, drive automation, and coach others—setting yourself up for a future people‑manager.

What you will be doing:

• Own global lease accounting processes in compliance with IFRS 16 / ASC 842, setting standards and guiding complex scenarios.
• Ensure data integrity for lease abstraction and reporting in tools like CoStar, LeaseQuery, or Nakisa.
• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets—capitalization, transfers, impairments, disposals, and depreciation.
• Drive automation and standardization across global accounting operations to improve efficiency and control.
• Act as functional SME and influencer—lead cross-regional projects, mentor peers, and shape best practices (individual contributor role with leadership track).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Procurement, Treasury, and local finance teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Support audits and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and strengthening internal controls.

What you need to succeed:

• 5–8 years of experience in lease accounting within a multinational or shared services environment.
• Deep expertise in IFRS 16 / ASC 842 and fixed asset accounting principles is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, OneStream) and lease accounting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred).
• Proven ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a global mindset.
• Experience in a GBS, SSC, or COE model is a plus.
