What you will be doing:

Lean Logistics Focus:

This part of the role is centered on improving warehouse operations through Lean practices. It involves leading continuous improvement efforts, tracking key performance indicators, and working with different teams to make processes more efficient. The role also acts as the main contact for managing on-site projects related to logistics and performance improvement.

SAP IT Focus:

The second part of the role supports SAP systems used in logistics and warehouse management. It includes helping users with SAP/eWM and S4, testing system changes, solving daily issues, and making sure that IT developments align with business needs. The role also involves learning and supporting various systems used in supply chain and logistics operations.

Specific Responsibilities may include:

Lean Management

Design, check and adapt the processes with continuous improvement methods:

  • Organize, lead, participate, and design systems and process improvements or changes.  
  • Draft and communicate all requirements and submit any required tickets or RFCs (Requests for Changes).
  • Support and implement the lean management projects.
  • Carry out the lean and 5S audits.
  • Oversee the process of technical documentation and standardization: SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Assist in workforce training and development:

  • Provide technical training to operators in the areas of defect identification, maintenance practices, and KPI ownership.
  • Support the development of a standardized operation; integrate these standards into the department’s work system.
  • Facilitate and lead the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and providing training in problem solving methodology, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA.

Support DC leadership to develop performance culture:

  • Engage the leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Lean initiatives. This includes working with key leadership both functionally and strategically to drive overall improvements in specific areas.
  • Collaborate and communicate best practices and processes within the warehouse. 
  • Comply with company and legislative health & safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

IT/SAP

Troubleshoot any errors or gaps with main point of focus on Supply Chain Management, Logistics Execution, and Warehouse Management areas: 

  • Draft and submit any required tickets or RFCs. 
  • Organize, collaborate, and execute all required testing.
  • Monitor communication between SAP/S4 and all other external systems.
  • Decipher, troubleshoot, and fix IDOC errors when possible. Communicate IDOC errors or system issues to the appropriate parties.

SAP eWM Key Business User: 

  • Be a key point of contact for SAP eWM users within the DC.
  • Conduct SAP Business User training sessions.

Maintain IT interfaces and establish unified practices:

  • Conduct investigations into issues concerning inventory discrepancies, inbound/outbound, and other matters impacting day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with UPS & FedEx account managers, distribution centers, national retail stores, along with internal and external company representatives.
  • Review and support customer routing guides for Amer Sports logistics teams.
  • Maintain/support the routing guide tables.
  • Collaborate with the Amer Sports logistics teams (Global Transportation, project managers) to establish best and unified practices.
  • Maintain and help support VAS (Value Added Services) condition tables and mapping for Amer Sports Brand entities.

What you need to succeed:

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in logistics/warehouse processes.
  • Proven experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and IT systems integrations.
  • Continuous improvement and lean experience.
  • This role requires a University degree or equivalent

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of warehousing operations and processes, project management.
  • System/process improvements and IT integrations.
  • Keen on understanding processes, proposing and implementing improvement actions.
  • Strong logistical skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System) and Radio Frequency “RF” devices.
  • Knowledge of SAP & S4 or other similar IT systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and inventory computer systems
