In short

As a Footwear Developer, you will be responsible for the entire development and commercialization process of new and existing footwear from approved design briefs in collaboration with factory development, commercialization and technical teams. You will have the unique opportunity to build the first On development team in Vietnam while working closely with the product creation team in Switzerland. You will be based in Nam Dinh or Ninh Binh with frequently travel within the North of Vietnam

Your mission

– Develop products on time to the target price and in accordance with the design and technical requirements of the technical package while maintaining an emphasis on performance following options to meet key features and product performance and sustainability goals.

– Contribute ideas for product design, construction, materials, and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, duty, compliance, fit, and product margin.

– Manage sampling and prototyping timelines across all development phases (e.g. Line Review (LR), Final Line Review (FLR), fit and wear test samples, confirmation samples (CFM), etc.)

– Actively communicate with the product creation team
regarding lab testing and provide solutions for failures. Review all bottom tooling blueprints with Zurich team prior to opening sample molds and handover to commercialization team

– Visit the production line on a regular basis with the aim of collaborating with the On production team in order to maintain product quality, process improvement, and collective learning.

Your story

– You’ve got at least 5 years’ experience in Footwear Industry and have loved every minute of it. You have successfully completed a degree in product design, development, manufacturing, or a related field.

– Knowledge in industry tooling processes to include 2D/3D CAD and CAM. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Good knowledge of pattern engineering, tooling processes, and mold making.

– Detail-oriented with strong organizational, work ethic and teamwork skills. project management skills with many SKU

– Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

– Can work under high pressure and have a willingness to travel oversea and domestic
