Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by being responsible for the Amsterdam office management and operations, to provide the best on-site employee experience and foster a vibrant culture. As you join us, you will specifically be responsible for managing the office redesign project.

Main tasks:

  • Manage all the office operations to ensure an organized, clean, and safe working environment for all.

  • Arrange desks and seating plans and partner with the IT team to ensure all working spaces are equipped as they should.

  • Ensure facilities are well equipped and effectively functioning while minimizing carbon footprint.

  • Lead and manage office projects and coordinate stakeholders (design, construction etc.)

  • Manage office expenses including vetting vendors and managing relations, and ensuring spending remains within budget.

  • Monitor and manage health & safety procedures and training, including employees first aiders.

  • Be the point of contact for and partner with the landlord and office building tenants on any facilities, health and safety, and infrastructures needs.

  • Be responsible for the security of the office, being the security company’s point of contact.

  • Manage office communications in partnership with Communications and People + Culture teams.

  • Actively participate in the planning, support, and execution of internal events and initiatives with the Events Committee, the Enviro, Marketing, and People + Culture teams.

  • Manage, support, and develop the Office Coordinator.

  • Partner with Executive Assistant, Transparency group, and Finance team to manage and support employee travels and carbon footprint reporting.

  • Identify opportunities for office operations and facilities improvements and drive implementation.

  • Coordinate information to employee sports groups and support them in managing budget.

  • Partner Transparency group, Enviro and Leadership teams, and Footprint Committee, to reach carbon neutrality for the office and deliver sustainability initiatives.

  • Ensure administrative and clerical tasks are taken care of by Office Coordinator.

What we’re looking for:

  • An interest saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as Office or Facilities Manager

  • Experience in project management, preferably in office redesign, expansion, or move to hybrid / flexible working.

  • Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.

  • Strong affinity with Patagonia’s purpose.

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while keeping attention to details.

  • Proactive and efficiency-driven approach to problem-solving, with decision-making capability.

  • Entrepreneurial and service-oriented mindset, with care for people’s experience.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).

  • A love of the outdoors

It’s a plus if you also have the following:

  • Experience in event management

  • Experience in people management

  • Knowledge of employee travel management

  • Understanding of carbon footprint and reduction policies and schemes

Other important details:

  • This is a full time position, based in Amsterdam

  • We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
