JOB MISSION:
As a Management Accountant at New Balance, you will be responsible for the collection, consolidation, and analysis of sales and financial data. You will ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date internal reporting and accounting information by effectively using applicable systems in line with budget standards and procedures. You will act as an ambassador of New Balance, demonstrating our core values of Integrity and Teamwork.
You will work in close collaboration with the New Balance Nordics Finance Manager and Finance team.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collect and coordinate financial data in line with budgets, accounting guidelines, and local legislation.
- Maintain and develop Power BI/Excel reporting tools.
- Ensure up-to-date and accurate sales and financial data.
- Proactively maintain and develop reporting to support sales and planning.
- Prepare and coordinate ledgers, journal entries, trial balances, assets, and cost accounting.
- Analyze account-related costs and processes, identifying potential accounting discrepancies.
- Coordinate accounting processes and control costs within budget guidelines.
- Contribute to internal and external financial audits.
- Prepare and monitor yearly budgets, analyzing and explaining discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, including revenue, margins, and operating results.
- Provide financial analysis and interpretation of variances.
- Prepare periodical cost reports, trial balances, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and application of funds.
- Record and execute various financial data in the relevant systems.
- Maintain and proactively improve departmental standards.
- Ensure timely and adequate reporting to EMEA Finance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related – preferably with relevant student work experience
- Experience from a similar Accountant/Controller position or as an Auditor
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and Excel.
- IT literate with essential Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
