This Visual Merchandising internship is made for you!
What is this internship about?
Within the Brand Marketing team and under the Retail Experience department, our future Retail Visual Merchandising Junior (M/F) will be responsible for participating in the development of visual merchandising in our Salomon stores.
More specifically, you will be involved in organizing the layout of sales areas (stores, presentation spaces) to optimize product display, enhance customer well-being and satisfaction, and promote sales. At Salomon, “VM” plays a central role: it works closely with store designers, retail operations, marketing teams, and D2C merchandisers.
Your main tasks will include:
1. Seasonal Visual Merchandising:
- Contributing to the development of our general and seasonal guidelines for Brand Stores, Factory Outlets and Key B2B Partners.
- Participating in feedback for visual merchandising in stores using an online communication platform, IWD and on in store visits.
- Assisting in updating floor plans (interior layout plans) and documents related to store capacity (based on store size and standards).
- Participating in and following up on monthly meetings by country (Teams)
2. New Concept, FO Refits, and Retail Lab:
- Participating in the creation, maintenance, and logistics of our “Retail Lab” and “Creative room”
- Contributing to the development of our new store concept
- Travel and participate in upcoming store refits and store new store openings.

Qualifications
Education: currently studying for a Bachelor or Masters’ degree in a business school or university, with a major in marketing or visual merchandising or interior design or graphic design.
Languages: an intermediate level of English is required, French is a plus.
IT skills: good command of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
♀️ Desired skills: you are autonomous, curious and a team player. You know how to use your creativity to improve sales. You like and potentially have a first experience in the outdoor industry, the retail environment and project management.
✅ The « + »: a driving license is a big plus as you will have to travel to our stores with your manager.

Starting date: Beginning of September – for 6 months
Internship based in Annecy, France
