In short
Social media is central to the On brand, key to connecting with our communities in a genuine way to communicate our brand mission ‘to ignite the human spirit through movement’. 2025 will be On’s biggest year yet, and we’re looking for an experienced social media manager to bring to life our Running category and athletes across TikTok, Instagram, Strava and YouTube. You’ll collaborate with global marketing, strategy, creative, digital and art direction teams to land our key campaigns with our running communities. Reporting to the Global Social Media Content Lead, you’ll be key to creating compelling stories on our social channels.
Your mission
– Oversee all social media planning from conception to execution for our running campaigns, projects and events
– Engage with our target communities through insight-led social content: with an ambition to disrupt run culture and deepen the connection to our athletes
– Develop and present brilliant ideas and stories for our social channels to internal stakeholders
– Demonstrate the ability to challenge conventions and the status quo, constantly seeking new ideas, methods, and technologies to improve social output
– Brief internal and external creative teams on socially-native content and educate teams on what makes a great rollout for TikTok, Instagram, Strava and YouTube (among other platforms).
– Create: You’ll be comfortable capturing content on campaign sets and during live events to add an ephemeral and social-native layer to our storytelling
– React to trends in real-time, knowing when to dial up the fun on our channels to speak to our audiences, whilst maintaining a premium edge
– Report success back to the business through monthly and campaign reporting to show the power and value of social media
Your story
– 5+ years’ working in a social media content creation role. You may have experience working as a social media manager or social creative / social art director bringing social-first ideas to life
– Previous experience in running, either on a personal or professional level: You have firsthand knowledge of running—whether through personal participation, working in the running or sports industry, or creating content for running communities. This experience allows you to authentically connect with and understand the diverse perspectives of runners, from casual participants to competitive athletes
– Comfortable working autonomously with the ability to communicate efficiently with stakeholders of varying seniority
– Ability to implement and work towards self-imposed deadlines and timings that align with wider teams
– Live and breathe social media, staying on top of the latest content formats and trends is a must
– Proven track record of developing ideas and content strategies to deliver views and engagement across key channels like TikTok, Instagram, Strava and YouTube
– Be proactive and collaborative, with experience working in a high-performing team
– Brief and manage external creative partners (photographers, content creators, agencies)
– Strong communication and writing skills – presenting ideas and plans to marketing, strategy, communication, production and creative teams
– Have the desire to produce best-in-class content and experience in producing content yourself
– Fluent written and spoken English
