Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. Your role will contribute to this purpose by leading the planning and execution of all local marketing and enviro efforts, ensuring that all communications and activations will be implemented according to the Patagonia EMEA business strategy. This role is the key liaison between EMEA strategy and local implementation/production and must ensure that the three key areas of the function are supported to the required level: Brand Marketing, Wholesale Marketing and Enviro.

 

Main tasks:

• Work closely with the Regional and the EHQ Marketing and Enviro Teams to secure local – Benelux 60% and Emerging Markets 40% – execution of global and EMEA campaigns.

• Work with all stakeholders – marketing, enviro, and sales – to create local marketing & enviro strategies – in support of the EMEA business strategy.

• In partnership with the Community Marketing & Impact Manager Southern Europe & Emerging Markets and the Local Sales Team define detailed local marketing plan.

• Manage local budget for Brand Activation, Wholesale Marketing, Marketing Contribution, Seeding and Place Of Purchase (POP), ensuring timely and on-budget execution of local marketing plans.

• Handle requests from key accounts and local dealers for Place Of Purchase (POP), window campaigns, online content and store events and ensure on-time deployment.

• Lead the production and execution of local events such as Worn Wear, film screenings, panel discussions and enviro events.

• Lead the measurement and evaluation of local marketing activities.

• Support local partnerships with institutions, ambassadors, and NGO networks; build a strong community of NGOs and activists.

• Be connected to the key environmental issues of the country and recommend how Patagonia can best engage.

• Lead the 1% for the Planet granting process for local groups.

• Support local 1% for the Planet grantees with their Patagonia Action Works (PAW) needs.

What we’re looking for:

• A love of the outdoors

• An interest in saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or educational background in Marketing

• 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing

• Good understanding of our products and markets

• Experience in the outdoor industry

• International and especially European experience preferable

• Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus

• Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) and general skills to learn new systems

• Proactive, dynamic, and autonomous

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Excellent organizational skills

Other important details:

• This is a Full-time position based in Amsterdam

• We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
