Your mission

As the Chief of Staff for Technology, you will be the CTO’s right hand, enabling them to focus on strategic vision and leadership. You will drive operational excellence within the technology department, ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategy, and facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring work flows seamlessly across the organisation, enabling efficient execution, removing bottlenecks, and driving operational effectiveness.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Strategic Alignment:
– Organisational effectiveness: Drive improvements in how the technology team operates, ensuring optimal structures, workflows, and processes are in place to support efficiency and collaboration.
– External and vendor collaborations: Support the CTO in managing relationships with key external partners, vendors, and technology providers, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and needs.
– Cross-functional coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration across different departments, ensuring technology remains integrated with broader business objectives.

Operational Excellence:
– Oversee budget and resources: Manage the technology department’s budget, track spending, and optimise resource allocation.
– Drive operational efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the technology organisation.
– Monitor performance metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the technology department, analyse data, and provide insights to the CTO.

Technology Leadership Support:
– Prioritise and manage: Support the CTO in prioritising tasks, meetings, workshops and projects, acting as a gatekeeper to ensure efficient time management.
– Prepare and follow up: Work independently to prepare for and follow up on important meetings, including technology leadership meetings and strategy sessions.
– Communicate outcomes: Clearly communicate meeting outcomes and key decisions to relevant stakeholders.
– Track OKRs: Manage the tracking of technology-related objectives and key results (OKRs), flagging any deviations and providing guidance.

Team Building and Development:
– Foster collaboration: Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the technology team.
– Support talent development: Partner with the CTO and Talent team to identify and address talent development needs within the technology organisation.
– Headcount Planning & Recruitment prioritisation: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure the successful recruitment of top technology talent.

Your story

– You have a strong understanding of technology concepts and trends, with a passion for innovation.
– You have 5+ years of experience in a technology-related field, ideally in programme management, product management or a similar role.
– You possess exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to create compelling content for leadership engagements such as offsites and town halls.
– You are highly proactive, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
– You are a strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex information and make sound decisions.
– You have experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Meet the team

You will work closely with the CTO and the technology leadership team, collaborating with various engineering, product, and data science groups. You will also interact with stakeholders across the organisation, including Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams.
