The Area Manager, Wholesale – EMEA will lead the charge to deliver all wholesale revenue in your area, on budget to top and bottom line, while elevating the Arc’teryx experience for all guests shopping in our partner’s doors. Your partnership with in-region cross-functional teams, HQ teams, regional counterparts, and the leadership of our sales team will ensure your plan is executed fully and on time. You are a strong and consistent team leader, capable of painting the picture of success to your team and holding them accountable to deliver with enthusiasm.
Meet Your Future Team:
The EMEA Commercial team is accountable for delivering sales through all regional channels. We meet the guest where they are shopping and ensure Arc’teryx is represented consistently and at its best. As the retail landscape changes, we will work together to evolve our approach with creativity and teamwork, ultimately resulting in a seamless Arc’teryx experience in store, that will culminate with near-perfect, full-price sell through.
The position is based in Oslo and requires 40% of time travelling across Nordics and the UK. Candidates must be eligible to work in Norway.

If you were the Area Manager, Wholesale – EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading a team of Sales Reps and/or agents across Nordics and The United Kingdom countries with vision, clarity, and optimism while driving for results
  • Developing your internal team with clear Personal Evolution Plans that celebrate their strengths and help them develop areas of opportunity
  • Executing the vision and plan for success in EMEA for the B2B channel, and using the tools and capabilities to analyze against the plan
  • Executing the strategy and budget to deliver the vision, and managing the business in real time to deliver it profitably
  • Developing a deep understanding of each region, market, and city in your area to ultimately fine tune strategies to achieve our goals with respect to local market maturity and nuances
  • Driving accountability to the plan within your team and cross-functionally to regional and HQ teams
  • Adapting to real-time challenges by building clear and achievable mitigation plans, enrolling leadership in your strategy, and leading your team to action with flexibility and impact
  • Establishing and nurturing senior level relationships with our key accounts to ensure they know who we are, where we’re going, and how we’ll get there together
  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including FP&A, Allocations, Merchandising, Marketing, Demand Planning, and others) to deliver the collection and bring the brand vision to life in our partners’ doors
  • Aligning with EMEA channel counterparts in your area to ensure consistency across the region

  • Implementing new business models for how Arc’teryx is represented to our guests at wholesale partners – anything from evolved branded space approach to out-of-the-box new concepts
  • Rolling out the Mountain Town strategy with the right wholesale partners
  • Negotiating terms and business model to improve profitability
  • Connecting internal Arc’teryx teams to both each other and to key partner stakeholders to ensure the Arc’teryx vision comes to life fully

Are you our next Area Manager, Wholesale – EMEA?

  • You have 7+ years’ experience key account and national sales management in a customer centric industry
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field
  • You have a proven track record of building and leading high performing professionals
  • You have a strong awareness of the Arc’teryx brand, product, and consumer
  • You have a strong understanding of the premium outdoor, fashion and lifestyle industries and you understand the retail landscape, including the latest trends and innovations
  • You have excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record of strategic planning
  • You have strong communication skills, excellent writing skills, attention to detail and discipline
  • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
  • You are able to travel regionally or internationally, as required
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
