Job Description
We are looking for our new WSE EMEA Sales and Marketing Director!
Here are the main responsibilities for the role:
Strategic Leadership:
- Craft and execute strategic plans to achieve EMEA business goals.
- Scout and assess new business opportunities and markets.
- Partner with global WSE leadership to align regional and company-wide strategies.
Operational Management:
- Ensure smooth daily operations across all business functions (D&T, Operations, CS Team).
- Manage regional budgets and financial performance to exceed targets.
- Maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies.
P&L Ownership:
- Take full responsibility for the EMEA P&L statement.
- Develop and oversee financial plans, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
Sales and Marketing:
- Propel sales growth with effective marketing strategies and customer engagement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and agents.
- Adapt strategies based on market trends and feedback.
- Lead marketing execution with retail, media, and sports.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Customer Experience:
- Deliver exceptional customer service across all channels.
- Enhance customer loyalty and retention.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility:
- Lead sustainability initiatives within the CHANGE YOUR TOMORROW PROGRAM.
- Promote ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders on relevant projects (e.g., SHINE IN RESORTS, MICO 2026, RE ORDER SPEED, P1 16).
Qualifications
Main skills and competencies:
- Collaboration: the ideal candidate will be able to create new collaboration “networks” to achieve goals, recognizing sources of conflict and acting to resolve them to get to win-win outcomes.
- Leadership: The ideal candidate will have the ability to formulate strategies and lead change. They will create and engage a team of leaders that can inspire.
- Drive for results: The ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement new ways of working, new operating models to deliver break-through results.
Ideal profile:
Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A MBA is preferred.
10 to 15 years of experience in a senior management role within the outdoor industry or a related field.
An extensive experience with P&L management and financial accountability is required.
Language: full proficiency in English; additional languages relevant to the EMEA region are a plus.
The role will require extensive travels within EMEA .
