Atomic is one of the leading manufacturers of wintersports equipment and part of the Amer Sports Corporation. For our Business Unit Apparel located at our head office in Altenmarkt im Pongau / Salzburg we are seeking at the earliest possible date:
SUSTAINABILITY INTERNSHIP APPAREL (M/F/D)
(DURATION 6 MONTHS)
You will be supporting the Atomics apparel team to understand, measure, and make material decisions which ultimately reduce the environmental impact of the products we put out into the market. Your tasks will include implementing tools and processes necessary for accurately quantifying material and product environmental impacts. Your work will directly contribute to our company’s sustainability goals and help build capacity within our product organization.
KEY MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- You will be part of the apparel team within ATOMIC
- Monitor mandatory industry regulations, as well as voluntary sustainability standards, across key markets
- Collect and manage data on key transparency metrics by building life cycle inventories (LCIs) for various materials and products. This includes building and maintaining a digital material library
- Calculate the life cycle impacts of materials and products using our impact calculation tool, providing insights into their environmental footprint
- Create and maintain key material and product data within our PLM system. This includes automating the collection of life cycle inventory data for fabrics and trims
- Work closely with the Atomic Product Development, Sustainability, and Sourcing team to ensure alignment and continuous improvement in transparency reporting
YOUR PROFILE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Pursuing a degree in Textile & Fashion or Environmental Science or a related field
- Passionate about performance outdoor apparel products
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on environmental impact assessment
- Sound MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel, Word)
- English skills required
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
