Kipling Global is looking for a Senior Designer to join our Design team based in Antwerp, Belgium. This is a 1-year temporary contract.

Let’s talk about the role!
You as Senior Designer will design forward thinking commercial products reflecting the brand purpose, and creative vision, through your own designs and with creative designer collaborations.
As Designer you will be building the design directions and prints each season alongside other team members. You will be responsible for designing seasonal collections/collaborations.
Working closely with European Product Development, Asia Product Sourcing and Product Management teams you will steer your projects through the GTM milestones and deadlines.
How You Will Make a Difference
You will achieve this by:

You will be using your expertise in print-design to support other regions in their designs.

Conceptualize designs that reflect the trends, but also reflect the integrity and aesthetic of the Kipling brand.

Sketch concept ideas to show quick results and speed up to the process.

Contribute to the organisation of seasonal collection presentations.

Review samples: Provide technical comments, problem solve roadblocks, and lead the discussions with Asia Product Development.

Collaborate with the Product Development and Merchandising teams throughout the development process to ensure the high level of quality and integrity in the design as well as proposing quality changes necessary to achieve targeted price points and meet calendar deadlines.
Skills for Success
To succeed as a Designer, you must manage your own design initiatives and the Design creatives for collaborations. This requires both a creative discipline as well as an ability to manage external relationships.
You should be creative and manage creative relationships, with:

An expertise in creative product design and how to build a season theme and prints.

The ability to understand the brands DNA and onboard external design creatives.

An understanding of how to meet deadlines.
-
Minimum of 4 years’ work experience as designer within companies and/or freelancer with a proven portfolio.

Completed knowledge of the adobe creative software package (illustrator, photoshop,)

A keen interest in fashion trends and collaborating with people from a variety of expertise’s.
A formal education and subsequent master’s degree in design or Product Design are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience.
