JOB MISSION: 

 

As part of the New Balance EMEA DTC Allocation Team, the Merchandise Allocator will have the responsibility of managing the distribution of merchandise to retail stores in a way that maximises sales and meets customer demand.  

 

Reporting to the Senior Allocator, the person in this position will work closely with buying and planning teams to ensure that products are available in the right quantities and at the right time to meet consumer demand and drive business success. 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Supporting the DTC team in replenishment of the stores using the replenishment system (APTOS). 

  • Monitors the replenishment system and adjusts profiles to ensure stock availability and maintains the store’s option requirements.  

  • Reviews the weekly sales to ensure top up orders are actioned for best sellers to maximise sales.  

  • Reviews the weekly budgets for the stores to increase/decrease replenishment to support the peaks and troughs in trade.  

  • Manages the store stock holding ensuring that stock levels are kept below the store maximum.  

  • Reviews the initial new season allocations from the Merchandiser and plans them into the delivery schedules.  

  • Provides stores with full visibility of incoming deliveries and mitigates problems to ensure smooth transition of product from warehouse to store and ensures that they are of manageable quantity.  

  • Supports the stores on the end of season transfers to the Factory Outlets.  

  • Works with the store on delivery discrepancies, adjusting stocks where needed and advising the stores on the correct process.  

  • Manages the DTC orderbook actioning housekeeping on aged sales orders and amendments to existing orders  

  • Conducts stock moves between wholesale/retail warehouses and stores to help maximise sellthrough and increase profitability.  

  • Highlights dropped/cancelled lines to the wider team completing the cancellation in the system and escalating if the article is a key line.  

  • Supporting the stores and wider team on Raymark/Aptos processes including Price changes, maintaining data in the system, VIP profiles and gift voucher maintenance.  

  • Conducting regular calls with the stores to review weekly trade and deliveries to help the store maximise sales. 

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 

  • Relevant number of years of experience in a similar position, ideally within the retail industry.  

  • Strong ability to analyse data and derive insights with a commercial mentality.  

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.  

  • Solid technical proficiency and familiarity with allocation or replenishment software and tools.  

  • Problem-Solving approach with the ability to identify issues and work with team members to implement solutions quickly.  

  • Strong organisational capabilities and attention to detail.  

  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently.  

  • Fluency in English is required, and any other European languages is advantageous.  

  • Great teammate.
