Job Description

As a Trade & Customs Operations Apprentice, you will work with the Global Customs and IT Teams, to centralize information for effective decision making.

Your Key Responsibilities include :

  • Customs Operations Support: Assist in the preparation, submission, and tracking of customs documentation for imports and exports. 
  • Data Analysis: Work on data collection, validation, and reporting to improve the efficiency of customs processes. 
  • Automation Projects: Collaborate on initiatives to automate workflows, such as the integration of tools for data circulation and customs declarations. 
  • Compliance Monitoring: Help ensure adherence to global trade regulations and free trade agreements (FTAs). 
  • Problem Solving: Support the team in troubleshooting customs-related issues and delays in supply chains. 
  • Documentation: Participate in maintaining up-to-date records of trade activities, standard operating procedures, and compliance guidelines. 

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For :

 Education : Currently enrolled in a program in International Business, Customs & Trade or Supply Chain Management.

 Languages : French and English fluent.

 IT : Microsoft Office, Power BI and/or SAP a plus.

A first experience in Customs is a plus.

You have:

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze and interpret data for actionable insights. 
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in customs declarations and reporting. 
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise verbal and written communication in French and English is a must.  
  • Team Player: Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
