In Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg, our shared services center thrives with over 100 professionals managing Finance and Operations/Customer Service. Our distribution center in Cambrai ensures swift delivery to customers, while our 35+ Columbia stores adorn major European outlet centers. Finally, the Sales and Trade Marketing teams are displayed in 3 regions across Europe, close to their customers and markets.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a brand-new role based in our European headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. As the Retail Partner Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth and operational success of Columbia’s partner stores. This position exists to bring clarity and structure to a rapidly growing area of our business, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams and enhancing our partner store experience.
In this role, you will oversee store openings and operations, build cross-functional relationships, and ensure our brand values are upheld in every partner location. Your work will directly contribute to Columbia’s strategic goal of scaling our omnichannel presence and elevating the customer experience.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

  • Lead the full lifecycle of partner store openings, shaping a process that ensures smooth launches and enhances customer experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with partners and internal teams, becoming a trusted advisor who connects people and ideas to deliver impactful results.
  • Drive Columbia’s growth by ensuring operational excellence, enabling partner stores to thrive and meet ambitious sales and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate across departments like marketing, finance, and retail operations to create a seamless omnichannel experience for customers.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify opportunities and implement strategies that maximize profitability for Columbia and its partners.
  • Develop and implement processes that set the standard for partner store operations, creating lasting impact and sustainable success.
  • Champion Columbia’s brand values by ensuring that every partner store reflects our commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation.

YOU ARE

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, thriving in environments where working with diverse teams and stakeholders is key.

YOU HAVE

  • At least 6 years of experience in retail operations, with expertise in partner/franchise management and opening multiple store locations.
  • A project management mindset, with proven experience leading projects from inception to completion while adapting to changes effectively.
  • Strong financial acumen, including proficiency in analyzing P&L statements, managing budgets, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating across departments like sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Proven ability to adapt strategies to varied cultural and market contexts within an international environment, showcasing flexibility and cultural sensitivity.
