In short
As a Lead – Retail Operations RoAPAC you will play an essential role in supporting our retail stores through your leadership and guidance. Holding deep subject matter expertise in our DTC retail foundations and operations, you will support our store teams in successfully living into our retail vision. You will work closely with our Regional Retail Senior Lead and our departments in HQ to drive the successful implementation, ongoing success of projects and programs in our retail stores.
In this position you will be a direct liaison between our store teams and our departments in HQ and will serve as a first point of contact to gather feedback and offer operational solutions required to support continuous improvement.
This position will be located in Yokohama, Japan.
Your mission
– Lead strategy for efficient inventory management including stock count planning, cycle count analysis, stock write off / movement and maintain knowledge for Retail store execution
– Work with Retail Management to define, implement and review Standard Operating Procedures to drive operational excellence in our Retail store.
– Support the operational execution for new retail store openings, ensuring timely openings and effective collaboration with global and cross-functional stakeholders
– Collaborate with HQ departments including Logistics, (Visual) Merchandising, Facility Management or Retail Tech to implement operational processes and system related improvements to enable smooth retail operations and scalable business foundations
– Lead and participate in working groups advocating as the voice of our retail stores with a focus on store specific communication, projects and initiatives, streamline communications between HQ stakeholders and stores.
– Work with Retail Training to communicate and align timings for relevant trainings for our store teams according to the operational calendar
– Support internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to local operations compliance needs and the implementation of Asset Protection and Health & Safety standards in compliance with local market requirements
– Support with logistics for marketing or event in stores as well as general store supply procurement that align with the quarterly store operations roadmap
Your story
– You have 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, previous experience in similar operations role in the retail industry is a plus
– You have strong experience in project management from start to finish, coordinating with cross-functional teams
– You have an entrepreneurial growth mindset and are eager to challenge the status quo with an appetite for relentless improvement
– You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, but love to also get your hands dirty and do the heavy lifting yourself
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively both in English. Proficiency in other APAC languages (Japanese, Korean, etc.) will be a plus.
