JOB MISSION

New Balance are offering an exciting 18-month fixed term contract to join the Operations Team based in Warrington (UK). The role will support the team for Inbound, Outbound, 3PL and Customs Compliance whilst existing team members are utilised on a large project. Training and support will be given and you will gain a broad knowledge of Operations and the wider business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist with business tasks and provide administrative support across the Operations function. 

  • Responsible for the organisation and distribution of original preference documentation for customs clearance 

  • Support with ensuring import documentation is compliant 

  • Support with communication on tracking incoming purchase orders and the status of customs clearance to plan delivery into the UK/EU warehouses 

  • Support value-added services (VAS) workstreams, ensuring special packing and labelling requirements are communicated to, and fulfilled by factories. 

  • Handle shortage and overage inbound queries raised by warehouse to update Purchase Orders and systems accordingly so that goods are correctly received. 

  • Produce and issue operational reports to partners across the business.

  • Enter and amend purchase orders in the internal system in line with business process 

  • Monitor shared inboxes and respond to queries 

  • Involved in relevant Operations Projects 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS 

  • Demonstrable experience and track record of success in a supply chain environment.

  • Knowledge of customs processes is advantageous 

  • Does not have to be fashion/sports industry 

  • Clear and concise communicator 

  • Excellent written and spoken English and knowledge of MS Office packages, especially Excel 

  • Prior experience with ERP systems and business reporting tools is beneficial 

  • Strong organisation & Time Management skills 

  • Problem-solving ability 

  • Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team or alone 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Conscientious 

  • Pro-active approach 

  • Great teammate
