JOB MISSION:
To manage New Balance’s presence on multiple online marketplaces, ensuring that our products are effectively displayed, priced, and promoted to increase sales and brand visibility within the athletic footwear and apparel industry.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Product Assortment: Curate and develop well-balanced and diverse product listings on designated marketplaces that align with New Balance’s brand standards; Monitor product performance and make data-driven adjustments to listings to improve conversion rates and sales while adhering to our guidelines.

Analyse market trends and customer preferences: regularly review market data with our partners and competitor strategies to identify trends and opportunities that align with our values and target audience.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with Planning and Allocation teams to ensure accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of products on marketplaces to meet customer demand; Monitor inventory turnover, and sell-through rates, and make data-driven decisions to manage stock levels effectively; monitor product availability and proactively address stockouts or overstocks considering full DTC channels and wholesale, and our profitability.

Working closely with the regional footwear and apparel buying & merchandising teams, to provide valuable insights into customer preferences and market demands, contributing to the creation of innovative and on-trend designs. Work closely with key accounts to monitor the performance of wholesale in order to find opportunities for DTC.

Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues and other departments such as planning, retail and digital marketing, marketplace, allocation, operations, and demand planning to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.

In-season budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in budget planning and forecasting for the marketplace channel, ensuring that financial goals are met, and profitability is increased.

Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about competitors’ offerings, pricing, and promotional strategies to find opportunities and potential threats to the brand’s market position.

Customer Feedback and Insights: Gather and analyse customer feedback, reviews, and insights to understand customer preferences, difficulties, and product performance, using this information to inform future merchandising decisions.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

Several years of experience in similar role in merchandising/buying or digital role.

Passion for product and awareness of trends.

Clear understanding of DTC KPI’s, marketing activations, and digital competence.

Sound business and commercial competence.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
-
Team player, with strong communication skills with the ability to network and build strong relationships with team members.

Strong analytical skills.
-
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
