JOB MISSION:

The Strategic Key Account Manager will be part of a cross functional account team supporting one of the largest sporting goods retailers globally, managing the European business across footwear and apparel. You will work closely with the regional and global teams to develop and drive growth in line with global lifestyle and account strategy plans. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with Key Accounts, excellent knowledge of the footwear industry and the European sporting goods marketplace.

This role is based in our DTC Office in Amsterdam. We offer hybrid working and flexibility to working hours to accommodate a healthy work-life balance. You will be required to travel to sites across UK and Europe on a monthly basis.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage Kids footwear and apparel categories for the selected Strategic Key Account
  • Develop close working relationship with the Strategic Key Account to deliver long term sustainable growth through opportunities within the brand, category and account strategies
  • Work closely with Marketing team to deliver best in class campaigns, by elevating the brand across all consumer touchpoints
  • Work closely with the Business Planning team to monitor sell out and orderbook conversion, providing accurate financial forecasts to the wider business and seasonal forecast alignment ahead of preline and sell in meetings
  • Align with the Merchandising team to ensure the correct assortment is available for the account across all categories, through inline and SMU, and from both short and long term perspective
  • Partner with the wider cross functional teams (finance, logistics, customer service) to ensure the Strategic Key Account’s priorities and processes are being met
  • Drive and evolve the account strategies inline with global ambition with the relevant  regional nuances on a seasonal basis
  • Spend regular time with the key account at their headquarters

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Previous experience of working in the Sporting goods or fashion industries
  • Knowledge of Footwear and Apparel categories – Kids experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working with key accounts across multiple locations
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Packages- especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proactive approach to communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team player, comfortable working with vast cross functional departments
  • Excellent sales and negotiation combined with a strong can do attitude.
