In short

As the Product Compliance Senior Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Happiness Delivery (customer service), Marketing, Legal, and our global Product Compliance team to help ensure our products meet local market requirements. In case of related inquiries from customers or authorities, you are leading the investigation, communication, and resolution of such cases. Your focus will be on Greater China, but you will occasionally support other markets in APAC with your expertise. Thanks to your profound understanding of the local requirements, you will also contribute to a comprehensive strategy with a consistent and pragmatic approach to ensure that all aspects of our products are compliant before they are brought to market in APAC.

You will be a member of the Happiness Delivery (customer service) team and report to the Senior Lead – Happiness Delivery Greater China.

Your mission

– Work with Global Product Compliance, R&D, Sourcing, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance and product safety requirements are worked into product designs, packaging and labeling, advertising claims, testing and approval procedures, registration with national authorities, and disposal/recycling obligations
– Act as a point of contact for overarching Finished Goods & Material compliance topics in APAC and coordinate action plans with cross functional teams in areas such as, but not limited to, product safety, product packaging & labeling compliance, chemical compliance, and material quality testing
– Respond to product compliance enquiries from internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, retailers, markets, and product creation teams regarding topics such as, but not limited to product safety, product packaging & labeling compliance, chemical compliance, and material quality testing
– Monitor evolving regulatory landscape for APAC through work with industry organizations and with 3rd party labs. Communicate/escalate new requirements to the local and global Product Compliance team.
– Support the global compliance team to develop guidelines to address regulatory compliance demands and develop communication platforms and systems ensuring a high level of function of the compliance process.
– Lead and optimize the process locally independently to guide internal cross-function teams to deal with cases.
– Train team members throughout the business to increase compliance knowledge and introduce best practices
– Help create and conduct audits and stress tests of compliance processes and documentation related to the APAC markets
– Act as the company representative in communications and formal investigations with government departments, addressing product-related complaints and tip-off cases

Your story

– BA/BS from an accredited university
– At least 5 years of relevant work experience with knowledge of product development and manufacturing or regulatory compliance experience in a parallel industry such as consumer goods, sportswear industry experience is a plus
– Experience in product compliance topics, such as labeling, chemical, physical and waste compliance
– Strong communication skills (verbal & written) as well as the ability to communicate across all levels of the global organization
– Highly detailed oriented and organized
– Must be a self starter with a positive can-do attitude
– Quick and independent learner
