As the world’s fastest-growing premium sportswear brand, our digital channels are key to driving commercial growth, and vital touchpoints for educating and exciting our fans. To continue building success across our digital touchpoints, we are looking for a Senior Lead, Digital Consumer Copy, to take our ecomm, email and member program copy to the next level in 2025. Reporting into the Global Head of Copy, this senior role will be responsible for shaping copy strategy across digital touchpoints, writing and editing top tier work and leading a small team of copywriters to channel excellence while driving and responding to our increasing digital commercial needs.
Your mission
– Be the guardian of copy and channel excellence across all ecomm and CRM touchpoints including digital DTC, email, member program, our app and OFF Stories.
– Partner with Digital, Product and Marketing teams to drive strategy for achieving consistent, high performing conversion copy across On’s digital channels.
– Embrace opportunities for utilizing AI by exploring and experimenting with AI and LLM tools to help improve efficiency and quality of ecomm copy at scale.
– Collaborate with the Digital team to test and experiment across on.com, using data and metrics to inform decision-making and strategy.
– Contribute to top tier, high prio copy.
– Lead your team to success, inspiring bravery and dedication in your team, ensuring they are motivated, inspired, and incessantly delivering high performing copy in our tone of voice.
– Identify areas of opportunity and growth for digital copy, using your Explorer Spirit to develop solutions and drive through to delivery.
– Oversee OFF Stories, our digital storytelling platform, including strategy and metrics.
– Make strategic decisions that help drive forward high performing copy and ensure your team is individually and collectively meeting goals and KPIs.
– Work with senior global stakeholders across the business to ensure your team’s work is delivering business objectives and pushing digital copy forward in an innovative way.
– Be a detail-oriented, super juggler, who can hold multiple complex projects and initiatives in your mind, and take complex decisions quickly, confidently and decisively.
– Set a strong leadership example to the whole copy team, championing the On Spirits, and contributing to company culture, meetings and presentations as and when required.
Your story
– 6+ years writing and leading digital copy for a global DTC retailer, preferably in the fashion and/or sportswear industry.
– Experience building and growing a digital copy team and leading that team to proven success.
– Confident writing and presenting copy strategies that drive impact at scale across multiple channels.
– A deep understanding of DTC retail websites and digital user journeys for global brands, including Production Description Pages, Collection Pages and Landing Pages, and a strong understanding of how to drive consideration and purchase intent.
– Experience and understanding of digital metrics and SEO content.
– Hands-on experience with AI tools, including training AI writers.
– Experience and understanding of apps.
– Experience crafting copy and UX for premium brands, and writing digital copy strategies.
– Confident identifying underlying issues and root causes, and delivering solutions. You’re comfortable challenging the status quo and taking unconventional ways to deliver results.
– You possess the ability to balance the innovator mindset with maintaining the necessary structure and stability for the consumer team’s success.
– You are skilled at anticipating and incorporating the concerns and needs of various stakeholders. You are adept at aligning our outputs with a wide range of interests, ensuring that you ask the right questions and understand diverse perspectives.
– You can juggle various perspectives and opinions from stakeholders and see challenges before they arise, unafraid to make trade-offs when needed.
