- Senior Accountant – Record to Report (Banks) - Kraków

Hybrid, Kraków

Please note that this is a second-shift position, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, designed to support our North America operations.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with expertise in banks and treasury operations? Join us as a Senior Accountant in our Record to Report Banks Team, where you’ll handle key financial processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing:

• Bank and Treasury Operations: Perform tasks related to banking and treasury processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations for all legal entities in scope.
• General Ledger Management: Monitor and review general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial data is presented during period-end closings.
• Daily Operations: Independently handle daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks within the team’s scope, including performing closing activities as per the group schedule.
• Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during interim and year-end audits by providing data and resolving queries.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Interface with customer service, sales teams, and Financial Controllers to address and resolve discrepancies.
• Process Compliance: Maintain and update process documentation (e.g., DTPs, Process Maps) while ensuring adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to standardize and enhance processes, contributing to global initiatives.
• Team Collaboration: Support less experienced team members and assist the team lead in achieving operational goals.

What you need to succeed:

• Experience & Knowledge:
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in accounting, with 4+ years in general ledger accounting.
  • Expertise in banks and treasury operations, as well as practical knowledge of accounting or audit processes.
  • Experience with SAP Finance and reconciliation tools like Blackline.
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent task and time management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Languages & Education:
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Background in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
