JOB MISSION:  

  

We’re looking for a commercial and highly analytical Performance Media Lead within the EMEA Marketing organisation headquartered in the A-Factorij in Amsterdam and working across all the EMEA domains 

  

Reporting to the Ecommerce Marketing Manager EMEA, leading both one direct report and the performance marketing agency, the role is responsible for operational excellence for the paid media channels, building the best-in-class traffic acquisition strategy and leading the team to develop and execute effective PPC, Paid Social, and Display campaigns that drive revenue growth. 

  

You will work closely with the wider Marketing team to ensure the consistency of the brand message and align with the Ecommerce Trade team for commercial considerations. 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

  • Building, budgeting, implementing, and executing New Balance websites’ traffic acquisition strategy and performance marketing campaigns with our financial revenue and growth targets, whilst maintaining a clear focus on our Global brand and consumer strategy.  

  • Develop and lead effective paid media strategies in partnership with the agency across multiple channels between Paid Search, Paid Social and Display for lower funnel acquisition 

  • Managing a team of external and internal performance marketing specialists and our agency, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time and within budget by our external partners 

  • Lead and oversee key eCommerce focused projects involving multiple stakeholders.  

  • Conduct industry research to stay up to date with trends and identify new growth opportunities within Paid Media channels. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GTM leads, design, analytics, trade and merchandising, to align campaigns with overall business goals.  

  • Work with the digital analytics team to build reports and dashboards to analyze campaign data and provide insights and recommendations for future optimisation 

  • Manage and maintain a clear testing schedule between feeds / creative and enhancements to the product feeds. 

  • Regular conversations with platforms on potential beta tests, brand uplift studies and scoping, tooling improvements for channel execution. 

  • Full management of the lower funnel media conversion layer – working alongside CRO to harness improvements. 

  • Deliver clear insights for improving regional and global eComm campaign planning    

  • Demonstrate a passion for retail and sneaker culture, staying informed of the latest trends.  

  

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:  

  • Relevant number of years of experience directly managing digital performance media channels, focused on PLA, Paid Social, Paid Search, Retargeting and Display with an understanding of their impact in the wider lower-funnel ecosystem  

  • The ability to connect different data points, insights, priorities and turn into meaningful, resultoriented action plans. 

  • A customer-first approach to building brand preference and loyalty through online marketing channel. 

  • Strong analytical aptitude utilising intuition and empirical experience to complement data with a discernment for various metrics across the digital marketing funnel.  

  • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyses information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations 

  • Leadership and team-building – influencing others, driving consistent execution and effectively addressing challenges head-on. 

  • The ability to adapt and utilise agile decision-making, process an entrepreneurial nature and be capable of adjusting plans strategically in a changing environment.  

  • A commercial understanding of business performance and considerations. 

  • Experience managing agencies and working collaboratively with internal teams.  

  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of the GA4 platform, experience with on-site tagging, and advanced attribution models 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely. 

  • A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.  

  • Clear understanding of, and passion for, sneaker/fashion/youth culture and a natural brand guardian.
