In short
We are seeking a driven Production Planning & Sourcing Lead to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of our footwear production operations and the timely sourcing of materials for our emerging technologies. As a key figure in the supply chain, you’ll be responsible for planning production schedules, coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that our finished products reach the market on time, all while staying aligned with budget and sustainability goals.
Your mission
– Plan, schedule, and coordinate the production of On’s performance-driven products, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and market demand.
– Collaborate with the Head of Production to forecast and manage the resources necessary for production, including labor, equipment, and raw materials.
– Work closely with the Purchasing Lead to source materials, ensuring supplier reliability, material quality, and on-time delivery. Incorporate sustainable sourcing practices that support On’s environmental goals.
– Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times.
– Monitor and manage production costs, striving for optimization without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
– Liaise with cross-functional teams including Quality Control, Design, Marketing, and Warehouse Operations to ensure seamless integration from planning to delivery.
– Develop and track KPIs related to production, sourcing, and delivery, using data insights to drive improvements in production workflows.
Your story
– 6+ years experience in production planning, sourcing, or supply chain management within the sportswear or related industries. Footwear experience is a plus.
– Strong knowledge of procurement and demand planning software, with experience in forecasting and managing large-scale production workflows.
– Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles, including a Green Belt certification (or higher) is highly desirable.
– Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead cross-functional initiatives.
– Fluency in English is required. Additional language proficiency (German or French) is a plus.
– Passionate about sustainable production and sourcing, with knowledge of best practices in reducing the environmental impact of production.
